Foreign employees who want to work in Belgium need to have a work permit. The employer must apply for it with the local regional employment office where the employer is established, e.g. to receive a work permit for employment in the Brussels-Capital Region you need to obtain a work permit from the Brussels Regional Employment Office (ORBEM).
